Start a STEM AI Software or Robotics Program at your middle or high school—today.

No adult expertise required, at low or zero cost.

CalSTEM had the opportunity to present at the STEAM symposium In front of teachers and staff. We received a ton of interest, support and where asked about doing more talks and showcases in the future.

The following year we went back to the STEM symposian and this time presented to teachers in a breakout session. We received a lot of important feedback and also many sign-ups.

Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) skills, including robotics hardware and artificial intelligence (AI) software coding, are the most valuable skills students can learn today to be ready for the economy of tomorrow. STEM careers earn an average of 60% more!

However, National Science Foundation (NSF) research shows 30% underrepresentation of people from low-income communities. In contrast, students in well-resourced communities usually have plenty of funding and adult expertise—many even have have corporate sponsors!

However, under-resourced communities in low income areas often lack these vital STEM programs because of high costs and lack of specialized expertise.

CalSTEM.org’s vision is to close the STEM skills gap in low-income schools and under-resourced communities

CalSTEM.org does this by offering no-cost video based training for two programs: 1) Robotics and 2) AI Coding.

Students learn to either:

1) build a robotic remotely-operated vehicle (ROV) or

2) code an AI voice chatbot Zero experience in robotics or coding required.

CalSTEM.org’s Robotics Program uses kits from the National Science Foundation (NSF), in partnership with the State of California Department of Education.

CalSTEM.org also leverages the AI platform of Microsoft and the student-friendly user interface of Zammo.ai for the CalSTEM.org AI Software Program.

CalSTEM.org Mentorship pairs students from under-resourced communities with busy STEM college students and professionals—who have similar backgrounds as the students—to help inspire the next generation of STEM students.

Teams can also advance to more challenging levels of these programs, and also compete in the same regional and international competitions as the founders of CalSTEM.org.
